Jose Silva's Life....

Jose Silva was born August 11, 1914, in Laredo, Texas.
        Jose and his siblings were orphaned when he was six. He was the oldest son so he began to support his family by selling newspapers, shining shoes, and doing odd jobs. He sent his brother and sister to school, in evening when they did their homework. He learned to read and write from them. He never went to school, except for teaching.
       By the age of nine he started his own business, he employed other children to distribute newspaper. By age of twelve his earning was better than most adults in their neighborhood.
       At the age of fifteen, in a barber shop he came across a book on radio repairing. He asked to borrow the book from barber. The barber rented it to him for one dollar a week and condition that he will write Barber’s name on the examination in the back of the book. Each week Jose completed the examination. Soon diploma hung in the barber’s shop and across the street Jose started a radio repair shop.
       Over time he built the largest electronics repair business in south Texas.
Jose wondered why he succeeded but others like him didn’t so he began to study psychology. He did research on mind for 22 years from 1944 to 1966 to start his first Mind course. His study of the mind a became a lifetime passion.
